Choosing the correct screw compressor is not only about kW. We review your tools, machinery, duty cycle, working pressure and future growth before recommending a unit. Key sizing factors:
- Air demand (flow) — total m³/min based on all connected loads.
- Working pressure — bar required at the furthest point of use.
- Duty cycle — hours per day, days per week the plant runs.
- Power supply — available kVA, voltage and starting limitations.
- Air quality — moisture and oil levels acceptable for your process.
- Site altitude — important for correct FAD derating in Gauteng and Free State.
